Wont start, Ignition?

[CB7 Architect]

ok the other day the car started then cut right off,
everything is good (battery, alternator, fuses, everything)
also when the key is in the on position the fans and the clock dont work
when i put the key in between the on and start everything is good
so i start the car and hold it in between the on and start position and its all good,
has this happened to any one
what do i do ?????
do i get a new ignition or what. or just change the white part connected with the wires

Yes, it sounds as if you need a new ignition switch.
