distributor - needs replaced

ok well, after 210k miles of strong runnin, my fathers 93ex (which i inhereted after he got his 04 accord) stalled out and when he brought it to the shop to check it out, they said the distributor went bad and oil got in it which casued it to short out or somthing... i want to try to replace this myself but i have enver worked on one of these engines before.. does anyone have any diagrams from a service manual or have done this before and could help me out, is it a simple swap or will the timing get all screwed up if i remove the dist. anyone any info? thanks

it's preaty much easy. u just unbolt it and put the new one. as for the timing u got to have the (ear) for it. meaning that u got to listen how does the engine works. u got to drive it. and notice what happens when u first start it and when u shut it down.
at least this is how i did it on my car twice.
it's preaty easy.
