    Oil Pressure Light >?<

This has happened to me three different times all while speeding and going around a sharp corner. Basically what happened is I was going about 90 on average and as I would go around the corner pulling hard on the steering wheel all of the sudden my oil pressure light would start flashing on and off. I would then turn my car off and on real quick and it would go away. I know that the flashing light means that my oil pressure drop drastically but would cause that? I had a friend tell me to change the oil fliter, but I have no idea where it is at. Could that be the problem? I just had my oil change yesterday too, and it happened to me again this morning. Is is something I should be worried about?

just means ur car is tellin u, u shouldn't be doin 90mph.

but the oil is moving around so when u turn its not as full as it should be b/c it shifted then when u stop drivin crazy it levels out

This has happened when I try and "drift" during the winter. When I pull the e-brake and slide sideways, well all the oil does move around which creates it to come on. If you turn off your car it will go away unless you do it again =)

It's probably a combination of the following:

        a) You're probably low on oil, or at least below the "Max" mark on the dipstick

        b) When you coner hard, the oil all sloshes to one side of the pan due to centripital force. When the oil level drops near the intake and a little air gets sucked in, pressure drops and the light blinks. It keeps blinking until you turn the car off to make sure you notice it.

I wouldn't worry about it affecting your engine, although taking the corners at 90 might negatively impact the life expectancy of your car
I swear, eventually I'll run out of things to break.

I guess I was wrong... I broke it all. Died 10/29/06
