    Radiator Help!!

Hey guys, I have bad radiator(there is like a 2" straight crack on the top plastic piece about 3-4" left of the cap). I know I need to replace it but i was wondering it there was a quick fix. One of my buddys told that I could use JB weld and seal the crack and I should be good for awhile until I get a one new. I just wanted to run this by you guys to see if this is wise or would hold up. Al info will be gratly appreciated

You can JB weld it. Ghetto but it will work for a temporary fix.

JB Weld is nothing but a SHORT term temporary solution. I've had radiators go in 2 Accords (a 90 and a 93) in exactly the same place in the plastic. I've tried everything on the market, and nothing held for more than 1-2 days. Nothing seems to be able to stick to the plastic. Long and short - get a new radiator.

I actually found a shop in Cincy that takes the radiators and replaces the plastic top with an aluminum piece for better repairability (can weld cracks shut). So far, I haven't had any problems, so you may be able to find a shop that can do something similar for you.
I swear, eventually I'll run out of things to break.

I guess I was wrong... I broke it all. Died 10/29/06
