Anyone running a manual obd1 ecu in your automatic cb7?

I searched around and couldn't find any positive feedback on whether or not this works "perfectly" or not. On various message boards, I read 50/50 on peoples different setups. In theory, the TCU is whats controlling the shifting of the car and the ecu controls everything else right?

Reason why im asking is because I have a jdm h22a auto p13 and I would like to purchase a usdm p13 for smog (runs a little less rich) and the possibility of reffin my ride later down the road. I don't want to get one if it works like only 90% and throws cels.
I need a custom turbo manifold built....

They come with different fuel tables. Manual Honda ECU's have 5 speed tables while auto's have 4. Its not ideal but it will work. CEL's are well limited to the combo/ecu used. I did have an Auto P14 ECU on my F22b for a while with no problems.
