    Air filter/intake

    1.) I have a old cone filter and short ram intake (Both cheap ebay i believe) i bought a filter cleaning kit for it and cleaned it cause i didnt have the cash to pick up another filter so i cleaned and oiled it, it still looks kinda crummy. Is this somthin i should be worry about, it doesnt have any large holes or anything but its bent in a few places. I plan on ordering one soon, but should i get it asap?

    2.) Like i said i have a ebay intake and would purchasing a lets say injen intake or some other up-market intake have any affect on preformance? Besides getting a cold air intake over a shortram ( i have the extra piping for the cold air) but im talking from one brand to another.

      many people drive with dirty filters so it shouldnt mess up your engine. itll just mess up your MPG

        i dont even mess w/ the recharge BS. lots of people over oil and i just ain't comfortable w/ REUSING any filter for that matter.

        ill just buya new cone. generic. work good.

          Aem dryflow filter

          I have an aem dryflow air filter on my ebay intake tube, it's probably pretty dirty by now and I want to clean it. Does plain old water work or do I need to order the filter recharge kit?

              i used a vacuum to suck up all the loose dirt on my dryflow, then went outside and tapped it on the driveway until nothing else fell out of it. works good for me
