type s is on the fritz

Okay well i was driving and my cars makin popping noises when i decelerate i changed the distributor made sure it was at 16 degrees timing at tdc on the flywheel. I changed the cap and rotor on the distributor and it stopped for a lilwhile. Now as im driving normally on my way fom work my car started goin all haywire like its being hacked into I have a code 1 but i didnt know it can do all kinds of crazy shit. Now my car is on the fuckin fritz the tach was jumping and it sputered out and died.

So i i figured its probably the sscoil or the msd box going bad. So as soon as i got home i put the stock coil back in there for good measure fired it up took it for a run 1 more time. The car revs out more than it runs and the tach goes all erratic. Im not sure what can it be i checked to see if it was the altenator i pulled the negative side of the batter off the terminal nothing the car didnt cut off at all. Runnin outta options here the jack is all jumpy i checked my grounds aswell the on the tranny the other on the batter and the 2 that go on the chasis and the engine. Any takers?

I think its definitely ignition related. I had that problem years ago, but then I upgraded to the MSD.

my car did a similar thing but on my f22a4 at first my tach would go crazy at random and then when it was idling it would sputter out and die so i put a new distributor<<<(this was the real problem) and just for good measure i changed>>>, distribuutor cap, plugs wires and it fixed my problem

you have to cut back on the racing sparky.

if ignition checks out ok, i would look out for a vaccum leak?

not sure. vaccum was the only other thing i could think of that would cause backfiring though...the tach jumping is a mystery to me...

problem found everyone It was the fucking ignitor that little chip shit it wasnt burnt i guess maybe the oil fromthe seal where the key on the distributor goes into the camshaft being that it leaked probably fried it or the msd ignition msd with ss coil is to blame aswell.
