trim differences

Can anyone list the difference between the trims(DX, LX, and EX)?

I've noticed that the '90 LX and '90 DX have about a 80lb difference, where is this coming from?

Well the LX has power locks and windows and A/C which came on certain DX models only. That should make up the 80 lbs. weight diff.

DX is the base model. The LX is one step up from the DX. It has power windows and door locks. The EX is a step up from the LX. It has the Power windows, doors, and usually a sunroof, it also comes with premium wheels unlike the dx/lx with the hubcaps. Now. The SE, it comes only in auto. Power every thing and leather interior.

engine types as well, the ex and i think the SE are f22a6 while the dx and lx are the f22a1...what about gas mileages? do you the dx/lx get more or less mpg than the ex???

f22a4 came in the 90-91 ex though....f22a6 went in the se/92-93 ex

all dx/lx models came with an f22a1.......

so its always been about giving the ex the better huh? guess so seeing as how they cost more lol

actually, they were built with one mirror, no a/c or cruise, etc....what happened was that some dealers paid extra for the extra options, because they were base models and could have ANYTHING added to them if you wanted to pay for it.....a dx with the works would cost more than an ex though if you did it that way, so why......but all the shit they added to the dx, someone, even a dealer, had to pay extra for so it was really an added option

but yeah, some of the dx's have a lot of things

Some other small differences between DX and LX/EX/SE: no cup holder, no rear speakers (unless added), no map pockets on back of front seats, no passenger side vanity light on sun visor, no door courtesy lights.

climate controls were also differnt. they had those slidy thingies instead of the ex/lx knob things. duno if that was mentioned before.

about engines Fizz..your right...I have a 90 cb7 ex..and its got that F22A4....NOW as for the F22A1 in DX and LX models........I ran into a guy with a 92-93 LX manual that had a F22A4 in it....

YES, I checked it out myself...BUUUUUTTTT...being that im a hardcore CB7 man.....this is the WEIRD part..that had me baffled..and scratching my head....

its a F22A4 BUT.......he had an EXTERNAL coil..F22A4s ....DO NOT come with EXTERNAL coils only INTERNAL...unless you do some swappage.....like..change out the dizzy and add some wiring to the harness and add that coil...Other than what I just proposed....im confused...

same engine...WITH F22A6 personality! ????

YES..thats exactly what I pointed out ..when he opened his hood....all he did was shrug his shoulders and say..thats how I bought it!

hmmm...F22A4..with A6 dizzy...Im .thinking...maybe thats a rebuilt engine....F22A4 bottomend..with F22A6 upperparts!!.....thats the only thing I can come up with!
