whenever im driving and i stay at a constant speed (30mph) my car seems like its jerking along. i replaced the knock sensor thinking that would help it and it hasnt. could my timing be off? the person i bought the car off of took the head off and had it hot tanked and he had to do a valve adjustment, car has a H22a. also the computer is a P13 chipped with something. could my car just maybe need a tune? my gas mileage is shit also. please i need to get this fixed asap.

It could be a lot of things, like someone already said.
Look at the "tuneup," things first:
~check out your spark plugs, spark plug wires, check to see any crust buildup in the cap/rotor(Dist.). It could be that your timing is off...car jerking at constant speed could mean you're not getting a constant spark duration...
...when was the last time it had a tuneup?
best of luck man, you may want to replace the o2 sensor if you dont know when it was changed last. That could be the culprit for bad gas mileage. The voltage could be low, which isnt much but usually fuel filters go for long periods of time...

Ignitor maybe how bad is it jerking? You could tear off the dizzy cap and see if everything is in tact.

Check the distributor as I mentioned. You sure your timing is right?
