check engine light

i just put on my new distributor on today everything is going ok, then after about 1 min or so my check engine light comes on and keeps blinking as if i was check the codes. It did that the whole way home. Before all this happen the check engine was alway on but it never just kept blinking. how do i stop it...

did you remove the paper clip or whatever you placed in the service connector?

if yes then check all your grounds, i believe oneoffaccord had this problem and he solved it by changing some grounds

i'll check the grounds cuz i never check the codes it just started doing it out of no where

try and see what's it's saying, code wise that is. 13 4 (the big 0). clear the codes out and see what the ECU picks back up when you drive.

ok so i've checked the codes in they are the same ones from when i put the motor in so i know it's no big deal now i just can figure out how so stop it from blinking.. i think i have a bad ground but i don't know what i'm lookin for....

also after i jump start my car cuz it sat for 2 months. i drove around and let my car run for about 3hr. i turn my car off and come back in 1hr and it's dead again..

maybe a defective battery, will it crank, are you getting spark of fuel?

well that means either the battery is bad or your alternator is bad you can have the battery checked at a local knect's

[Caution]

ussually used battery's, when you let them sit that long without charging them, they go bad and dont hold a charged anymore.
