    Password to unlock doors.

You know how old people cars have those keypads below the handle, with numbers that can unluck the door?

I am thinking of trying to take a module of some other car and try and fit it to the accord.

What are your ideas/thoughts on this?

I think itd be cool as shit, because NO one has it. I might even try and hide it somewhere inconspicuous on the car... idk.

    Let me know

Why give people access to opening your car at all? It's an interesting idea, but I'd rather just put in a good alarm setup. My $0.02

If its cool do it. But expect people tampering with it trying to get into your car. Older cars with the keypad were jacked pretty often so its up to you. Personally I would get a kill switch or something.

k this is a lil offtopic, but i heard there was a thing similar to the keypad, but with sensors behind the doors in a big circle. i was told that in the event that you lock your keys in the car, you tap the car in certain spots on the door (EX: top, bottom, top left, top left, bottom, right) and the car would unalarm....dont know if its even real or not...if it is, you should get that...would be way more cooler...ill try to find out though if its real or not!

Shave your door handles and then somehow put the keypad on the back side of the glass in your side mirror and make it so you can push it in and have it spin around with the keypad on the other side, put the code in, open door, and spin the mirror back. You'd feel like James Bond or the transporter everytime you get in your car. Yea it'd be a bitch to do and you'd probably have to get rid of your power mirrors but...you'd have the keypad and it wouldn't be ugly and in the open.

shieet, but the ones i was told about was sensors behind the door, so nobody knows its there, and then you just lightly bump the spots where the sensor are.

Heck you might as well get the flame thrower or tazer security system too, 007 ftw. Though the mirror thing is possible just really impractical.

If nobody has it and you want to get one then hide it somewhere on the car... Why get it in the first place if nobody knows you have it. Plus you said lots of "old people cars" have them, do you want your car to be like a old persons. Honestly I would just get remote door openers with the shaved handles, thats IMO of course.

Then again having it on the car would be good incase you locked your keys inside.

Who told you about my shocking security system?

Door poppers are not really good security devices because they are installed with a fail safe switch that opens the door when the electronic goes bad on the outside of the vehicle. So if a thief is able to find that switch they can easily get into your car.

I liek the innovative-ness of the idea Stooby(lol), but x100 on the "if you like it, do it".

As for the touch sensors, eh, might have that, but youd have to have them in non-conspicuous[sp?] spots. -Mike, i think the lower corner of the windshield seems too conspicuous to me

x2 on the door poppers. If youre going the lengths of keypads, touch sensors and such, why not try a fingerprint or retina scanner??? Then no one can get in unless they rip off your finger or scoop out ya eyeball... :OUCH:

I dont know the expenses of one, but i kind of, overall, like the idea of a kill switch. I almost wanna install one on a friends car just too fuck with him, then watch him try to figure out why his car doesnt work

Get a retina scanner... or a stool sample analyzer that lets you in if the blend of herbs and spices really belongs to you. Waist of money IMO, get something to make your car go zoom zoom.
