    Front Torque Mount/front engine mount?

Okay i decided to just buy a new one. Mine is completly gone and i think this is why it feels jumpy.

Anyways Im trying to remove the top bolt and i tryed and it wont come out. I was told by cbmike and someone else to use a pipe and put it on a wrench or something

Any easiar ways? I dont think i have a pipe

Also how the hell do u get the bottom one out? :-/ that would looks inposssible to get too

top one was cake for me.the bottom ones a bitch if you dont have a air wrench then bring it to a shop,if not then use pry bars, heat up the bolts with a propane torch untill there cherry hot, just dont strip the them.but pry bars will help.if you have $35 have a shop do it because thats all they charged me.i got the topone out and then brought it to the shop because that bottom one sucks.

okay cool.. . 35 isnt bad i mean i can get an air wench from my friends dad.. Well see how it goes. Just seems that the bottom bolt is like hard because from the looks it doesnt seem that a an air gun will go down there

by the way what i did for that top one was i sprayed some lube, let it sit for 5 mins, then i got a 3.5 foot leverage pipe, any pipe will work and i used only a 3/8 inch rachet and it came right off.i could not budge the bottom one,not even with heat.even the shop said the air wrenches had a hard time.good luck.

** breaker bar from sears- gives you tons of bolt-twisting torque cuz its so long (i have an 18" one... tons better than a short little ratchet)

Where'd you get yours and how much was it? I got one at Auto-Zone but apparantly my head was out of zone becasue I got Front Left, not Front, and they don't carry the Front one. Just wasn't thinking when I got it! Oh well, I'm still looking for the front torque mount...dont' want to pay full price at a Honda Dealership.

Yeah, the one I got there was $35.99. So they DO have a front mount and not just a front left?? Hmm, wonder if they could find it if they searched something else. This is a specific accord part, right? Not just a general part with adapters or anything.

i call it a front mount, they call it a front torque strut, same thing.they had to order it because they had none in stock.

if im thinking of the right thing then mine is pretty fucked too. the actual piece is ok, but the bushings it has on the bottom bolt are all corroded away and the mount just wiggles around with zero effort. it moves sdie to side up and down doesn't hold still at all. is this a pretty serious problem that needs immedeiate replacing, or just something i can do eventually?

well you can drive around like that but the longer you do the more wear it puts on the other mounts(rear) that will cost ya in thelong run.
