Distributor bolt loose = messed up timing

A friend of mine came yesterday with his 91 LX which he bought last month. He said last week he was doing complete tune-up and while installing a new rotor and distributor cap, he accidentally moved the distributor because the hold-down bolt was loose. He tightened it back up.

This is the problem. He says the car now takes about 2 to 3 seconds to fire up. Where before it would start on the first crank.
The car runs okay but he believes that he has messed up the timing an has no timing light to check. I am assuming that 1 crank = 1 second.

On a factory ignition timed CB7, normally how long should it take to start?

it depends on the temp outside and other things like that. warm days it takes me 1-2 cranks. cold days its like 4-5

If you have a timing light, its not hard to adjust the timing.

on the stairs, she grabs my arm, says whats up,
where you been, is something wrong?
i try to just smile, and say everything’s fine.
