Finally running now new problems!!!

Have been working on my 90 accord for over 2 weeks now..and finally got the timing belt and balance belts taken care of..and now the car wont even go in to reverese neutral or drive...None of the d4 n or r lights are blinking..but It wont shift in to either when the brake pedal is pressed...This car is looking like a lost cause...

only thing i can think of is shift solenoid in center console. you have to take the center console cover off. check for CEL to see if you can get and nnumbers.

im guessing its an auto... check to see if the brake lights come on... if they dont then you may need a new brake switch... it basically tells the ecu the brakes are on and to turn on the brake lights or shift an auto car from gear to to park etc. etc. ... its a very common problem on VW's
