    Distributor 180degrees off???

Awhile back, I made a post about not being able to restart the car after reinstalling the plug wires after a clutch job. Today, I found out it's 180degrees off, as in the firing order is 4-2-1-3 instead of 1-3-4-2. I found this out by accidently installing the distributor backwards(180 off from the camshaft), and the camshaft was kicking it out. Reinstalled it correctly, and no start. Swapped around the wires, voila!

This anyone know what the problem is? I had tried two Accord distributors with no avail, and have been using a D15B VTEC(D16Z6 equivelent) distributor for the past weeks. Is the timing just different?

The D-series distributor must have a different firing order. But it is impossible to install our distributor 180 degrees off.

besides hooking the wires up out of order.

if the dizzy is bolted flush to teh head and the wires are hooked up like below, the only way it could be 180° off would be to take the tip of the dizzy off and flip it over, or flip the camshaft over.

note: dont mind the typo in the top right corner, order is of course 1342 not 1324

Ok looking at that diagram, my firing order was indeed off. Every diagram I found had number 1 firing at the bottom left(TDC for my D15B and for teh B-series IIRC). I guess the trigger is different, because the D15B distributor was wired opposite of the diagram but worked fine. Thanks alot, really appreciated!
