no over heating issues? do you smell a sweet scent inside the cabin? no damp passenger floor? hmmm

i think theres a pressure test you can do to check for leaks and all that jazz.

WHen that happened my hg was broke since I changed all my cooling and it still overheated. IT would keep on pumping coolant into the overflow so dunno. But since you dont see white smoke you check your cap maybe? Get it pressure tested.

if u got no leaks, dont sound like ur hg is blown try to replace cap maybe its just letting colant thru, vacuum valve prob f#cked.

Not my fault my dick only fits magnums.

go to the store and buy radiator leak stop. if it last 3 week and it's half in it. then it's a really small leak i'm sure the radiator leak stop can stop the leakin

I believe it a bad radiator cap...sounds like it's letting the coolant into the resivour when the engine's hot, but not allowing it to draw back into the radiator when the engine cools.

If you were loosing coolant internally, I believe your engine oil level should be rising, and the oil would look funky/gunky.

Never tried it...but I've read that if you suspect a bad HG is leaking coolant, you can run the engine (while cold) with the radiator cap off, and you should see air buddles from the leaking compression. Never tried it, but it makes perfect sense.

It can keep pressure, but not draw back in when cool. There's too parts of the caps that serve each function. Its just my suggestion, cause I was having almost the same problem with an old Talon, but not as bad. New Stant cap fixed it. Coolant stays full, and the resivour level goes up and down with coolant temp as it should.

But I know how ya feel. Sometimes its nice to have a professional fix your car, especially when you run out of time, patience, knowlege, tools, etc. Good luck either way.

if u dont 'think' its the cap change it, but if u 'know' its not leave it
i had the same exact problem with my car, and what otto say its true that cap lets coolant thru back and forth it my be doing one but not the other.

get a new cap buddy your cap is not holding the pressure it should go right into the overflow,

also for your question check the thermostat and hoses and is the cap on properly and last check the bottle and the main cap and check to see if it is holding pressure 16lbs it should hold

Worst idea ever. That stuffll fix the leak, but itll clog the radiator too.

Could be the cap, it is a cheap thing to try anyway. Mine was weak and did the same thing. It can hold pressure and still be weak. Have the cap checked at a local repair shop if you want but I would just try a new one.
