    smoke. whats going on?

I've down lots of searches on my symptoms and have found many others with the same. I still have not heard any results though. This is what happens :
After letting the car sit for extended period of time (8+ hours), it will smoke for a couple of minutes after start up. This behavior is inconsistent though. It may not smoke at all sometimes and ALOT sometimes (seems to be worse in cold weather). The smoke seems to be white, yet my coolant seems fine and does not disappear. My car seems to consume lots of oil (1 quart every 1000k) but never smokes after the minute or two in the morning. Oil is not leaking externally. I have not had a compression or leak down test yet, just wanna see if there are any others who experienced this before. Car seems to be running very well.

    what color is the smoke
What makes me laugh about forums, is that no matter how much you try to help someone, they dont take the advice. Go ahead and do it the hard way.

You got to respect what you drive, and appreciate what you have, making the best of what you got. and if that means putting CAI, HID's, a phat stereo system, and a idiot in the drivers seat...then so be it!

oil getting past the rings. worn rings.

        www.auto-rx.com

some have tried it and worked.

first try a higher weight oil. or a high milage oil. the esters will help.

first get a compresion test. this will show u if ur valve seals are gone ($300 to be fixed) or ur piston rings are gone($1000-1500)
but first do a compresion test.
