installing VAFC

i have the manual, i wired it up and my car wont start

...You sure you used the right one...Is the ECU connected in all the way. You have to cut some wires if you didnt do that. Did you do one ground closer than another on the ECU? and last stupid question what motor is this for.

its for a H22, i wired everything up like it said, the ECU was plugged in all the way, i got frustrated and disconnected the VAFC, i wired all the wires back how they were supposed to be and my car still wont start, please help

another thing, there are 2 wires, a red and green, the red is for the knock sensor and the green is for the VTEC solenoid, if these arent wired will the car not start? also the car has a PT3 computer i think, is this a non-vtec computer? also what pins would the green and red wires goto?

If you are wiring up an h22a for a pt3 its not working....P13 is the OEM prelude ECU...If you are trying to wire it up to a pt3 one your car aint gonna run right 2 that VAFC setting isnt gonna work too well. Plus no VTEC so pointless hooking it on buy you a p13 or something. Doesnt surprise me it doesnt work an SOHC basemap running a DOHC vtec motor doesnt make sense.

well my car WAS working on this ECU until i started wiring up this VAFC, then it stopped working, i know i have to get a P13 im getting one thursday, why would it stop working all of a sudden?

Most likely the setting on the VAFC adjusting it. Did you clear the memory on your VAFC did you buy it used? Sometimes there is a remaining basemap on there. You have to do something to clear the mem so it reverts to base setting its in the third menu and toward the bottom if I remember it says it in the manual.

i cleared the mem on it, but my car still doesnt start after i unhooked the Vafc, will it not start without the vtec solenoid and knock sensor wired?

You said you started it up before? I havent heard anyone run it with a pt3 maybe a pt6 but not sure about that either. Better off just waitin to get the ECU. YOur car should start up but in limp mode but doubt it with the pt3 since its doesnt even look for both of those.
