Shifting Problems....

Having problems on my auto shifter... I can’t seem to shift to drive, it’s stuck on park

Not sure what’s the problem; the only ways I can shift is putting the key in and manually and shift it to neutral then start the car and shift to drive

Anyone can help me out before paying someone to fix it up......

Check your brake switch, then if that works check the solonoid inside the console next to the shifter if its working.
