ways to reduce oil loss?

sup ya'll i finally got my SOHC that i picked up for 60 bucks runnin but it seems like the rear main seal is gone or soemthing.. hahaha.. i could fix it but i dunno.. is there a cheap and easy way (not pullin the transmission) just to stop it leakin a little bit.
