    cruise control stopped working

    90 LX Automatic 4 door

Worked great sunday... today it doesn't. I push the dash button, that light comes on. Then I push the steering wheel button, and the gauge light comes on that's green and says "cruise control" But the car just coasts.

Any ideas? I dunno how it goes from working flawlessly one day to not working two days later....

I did some more investigating and when I turn the cruise 'on' the pedal seems to feel more stiff than with it off? (gas pedal)

I don't know wha'ts up. I printed out some wiring diagrams from alldata and it looks like I have a problem either in the actuator or the wiring to/from the actuator, because that all is tied into the cruise indicator light.

Any ideas? I also printed out a diagnostic chart I will use when I have some time

    Let me know

    thanks

well I did some more experimenting with it on the highway and well when I turn it on, like the pedal falls about 1/8" and it tries to work but doesn't. Thought I had a vacuum leak, but I went to the vacuum line to the cruise control module and removed it and got a huge hiss of stored vacuum. I'm gonna investigate the little solenoid inside the vacuum canister and see if it's sticking

      any idears???

This car gets me where I'm goin great but has like seventeen lil *** problems... oye
