    Help With Tire Rod

i was looking around the area to see why the car wheel moves when its not suppose to, like push in and pull out.

ok, i notice the tire rod area, looked at it and unscrewed the tighten screw, then screwed it back.
now the car drives like shit, like one wheel wants to go one way and the other wants to go another way.

    WHAT IS THE DEAL?
do i have to get an alignment now just because i unscrew and screwed the tighten screw?

i really need help with is, my wife needs the car for tomorrow and ive been outside till a minute ago tryna figure it out, its not the tire rod.

like to go str8 i have to have the steering wheel at a 90degree angle, is it just because i need an alignment now....didnt need one at first.

    please help

If you take your front wheel off, you see your rotor. Your rotor is attached to what is called a steering knuckle. On one side of the knuckle(depending on which wheel you took off), you will see a ball joint with an adjustable length rod behind it. The length of this rod affects a condition on your car known as toe. A car with zero toe has the wheels pointed straight ahead. If your car has toe-in, then, from above, the front of the wheel is pointed inward. Toe-out, well, you do the math.

        got it fixed.

it was the inner tire rod.

the outer rod is connected to the inner, the inner looks nuffin like a tire rod.

i got the alignment and inner rod fixed.

man i couldnt even sleep because i thought i fucked something up but i was like i didnt do shit but unscrew the tighten nut and screw it back. and the aligment was off.
then i took a good condition outer rod off my junk accord and put it on there, thinking it was the outer rod. this was 11-12midnight, so u kno how stress i was banging the outer rod out because i didnt have the proper tool (jaw puller)

drving to the shop the car was sqeeling tires and everything because one tire wanted to go one way and the other the other way, thats how bad the alignment was off.

got there and the guy was like yeah i see u change the outer rod, did good, but its the inner that messed up, then he showed me and i was like i notice it was that but i didnt kno that was the inner rod .

ill get a pic for those who dont kno where it is and what it looks
like. u also need a special tool to take the inner rod out...damn, always need something special.

im pretty sure u can take it out with regular tool but might take u 4-7 more hours to do it...lol

yeah, i kno its tie rod, dont kno why i keep calling it tire rod, been stuck saying that for years

            costed me 262bux
this was for part, labor and alignment
take away 60 for the alignment and u have the price
