The black box under there is iab control, it controls the butterflies for the dual runners. And, I really cant see the pictures but, I think those holes are made when you clean out your egr ports..

Yup, well, they are there all the time, but they are covered with these small caps. You have to follow the DIY on how to remove them to be cleaned.

What makes me laugh about forums, is that no matter how much you try to help someone, they dont take the advice. Go ahead and do it the hard way.

You got to respect what you drive, and appreciate what you have, making the best of what you got. and if that means putting CAI, HID's, a phat stereo system, and a idiot in the drivers seat...then so be it!

I found this thread while doing some searching on setting up my F22A6/H23 intake manifold.

What is the purpose of drilling through the EGR ports? Why not just take off the manifold and clean it that way? Less time, less work.

You just have to pull 6 plugs out, clean, then put them back in. Some might say that is quicker than removing and reinstalling the entire manifold. I would. Hey why not just get a MotorVac done? That's quicker than both. What I'm getting at is there's more than one way to skin a cat.

hehe inside the egr ports its caked! solid in some cases like mine....i jetted a HUGE pressure washer in there with the highest sharpest setting to loosen some...this was out of the car.

REally? I thought you were supposed to jet water into the engine! j/p
The way I see it, you should take off the IM anyway when you clean the holes. It will be less of a pain in the ass, and you won't have to worry about having little metal shavings go into your engine. It's 100% safe if you just take it off and clean it with it resting on your lap See my DIY foir some pics...(cb7>DIYS>f22a6...)

on the stairs, she grabs my arm, says whats up,
where you been, is something wrong?
i try to just smile, and say everything’s fine.
