Defi Tachometers?

So i'm getting that tach, and I was wondering, does it work without the Defi controller box of some sort?
its a 5.5" defi d-link series

anyone have experience with these?

I think you need that controller box unless it comes with wires you can splice into your wires. Most of the stuff I see by them come with that black box so really dunno. But I am pretty sure you can figure something out when it actually comes.

I hope you have a motor that revs. If you have a F22 your wasting half of that tach
