thumping noise

when i drive my car it makes like a thumping sound and the faster i go the worse it gets its not a clicking noise like if the c.v. shafts were bad because those are brand new. i think it might be the transmission but ive never heard of this happening before and ive asked a couple mechanic's and none of them have heard of this before. if anyone knows what this could be please help me out. thanks

if not tranny, check for wheel related noise (have tires checked & wheel balanced)

im pretty sure it is the tranny because i swapped the car to 5 spd and i used the tranny out of my old car and my old car did the same thing but i thought something was messed up in the front end on my old car because the car was in a accident before i bought it.

i cant because it makes the whole dash and everything shake and if i go over 30mph it is really bad

oh ya i forgot to mention that the thumping noise got worse after i lowered my car

could be a bad wheel bearing?

it could be but i didnt think a wheel bearing would make that bad of a thumping

i changed the upper balljoint on the passenger side and it made no difference. im ganna go change the upper balljoint on the drivers side right now but is there anything else that it could be i need to fix this problem asap
