    tcm

    my car is a 90 accord ex. i am having problems with the tcm. basicly i know its the tcm. another member in the board has a 92 auto tcm. will there be any problem swaping the 90 tcm for the 92 tcm? i don't recall that there might be a problem but i just want to be sure before i buy it.
    thank you.

    The TCM must have the same number to work. I have two 90 models and the TCMs will not interchange between them. Some rebuilders build TCMs that will interchange but make sure the one he has is the same number as yours if it is the factory one.

      i don't think it has to be the same numbers. the shift points will just be different for a tranny it wasn't built for. i was still using my stock f22 tcm on my jdm h22 auto.

          There are wiring differences in the different years. When I have tried to use different numbers I had a solid or flashing S light. Do yourself a favor and put in the correct part. Rebuilt units can be bought for $149.00 and have a year warranty. Here is where I bought mine;
