    transmission problems

ok first how much do fluid does our tranmissions hold and do they have a trans filter for our cars. ok when i'm driving down the road and the temp gauge reads half way up and only when have way up and only when it is in fourth gear(auto) and i'm coastin down a hill or any time a let off the gas and i'm still going over 50 and then when i get back on the gas it acts like it shifts into a slightly higher gear because instead of the usual 2600 rpm at 50 mph it jumps down to 2400rpm and the same speed of 50 mph

yeah, it is the tq converter locking. it is supposed to do that in 3rd and 4th gear. if you really pay attention to the car it feels like it will shift 6 times till you get to 120mph

Yeah I agree, what you are describing sounds normal to me too. You're probably just feeling the torque converter locking up. BTW, there is no trans filter to change, and a drain and refill is about 2.5 qts.
