    Serious ignition/spark plug problem pics..

Okay So on the new ride. It ran good when I got it. the car sat for a year. A few days after it started acting like it lost power etc. I replaced the plugs. all were crap and nasty looking since the car sat for a year etc.

I replaced with Ngks and started car. Same syptoms still.
SO today I pulled the new plugs out.

All look normal except #2. I don't think it's firing.

Picture of #2 plug is below.

    How can I fix this?

I do have a smell of exhaust or maybe gas in the car.. its not comming from exhaust. no leaks.... Someone said it could be injectors leaking? or clogged?

steve i was told a few things from people doing this. People said to remove plug and put it near the valve cover stud and see if i can see a spark hitting it.

Now with the car on i tryed pulling it and i got zapped.

what's the proper way to do this with one person?... let me know.

also id it wasnt getting spark wouldnt that cylender not work all together? I mean when i step on it i get alot of black smoke when the rpms get high.

it jerks but my idle is steady. when cars moving it feels fine

This whole car is a huge Neglecto case, right?

Buy an OEM cap, rotor and wires and get the bang up to snuff.
The OEM is great stuff, but doesn't last forever.

LOL get you a flathead screwdriver and hold it close to the stud so it wont zap you lol. You could have a leaking injector as I mentioned which you can swap injectors around to see if it changes. But yea. I think now that I think of it my friend car sounded similar but the wire to his coil was fucked so we changed that and it was fine lol.

If you smell gas in your engine...its might be injecters....you might want to check o rings to see if there cracked or broken...but if you do check them replace the rubber ones

I see. Ill be going home prob tommrow morning to swap out that injector to see if it's the culprit.

I DO have an compression tester but a few ppl said to use it diffrently. ON the box it tells me to do this...

                              Remove all sparkplugs.
Disconnect the ignitor unit (aka disconnect the Distributor wires)
Screw tester in the spark plug hole.

Crank car 3-4 times to get the highest reading.

DO this for all cylinders and make sure there close within numbers.

                              Is this correct?
