    Installing Lower Valve Gasket Seal

Hey, I'm trying to install this seal...but I'm not exactly sure where it goes or what I need to take off.

Yes, I know this sounds like a noob question and the answer is probably very simple, but I coulnd't figure it out and I even read my Haynes manual. Any help is GREATLY appreciated on what I need to remove, etc.

I bought these O-rings as well. These are the lower spark plug tube O-rings, in which you need to remove the rocker arm assembly to replace them. They are located underneath the rocker arm assembly.

I have a Haynes, but I'm now sure what is says on this replacement. If you haven't found anything, then get a Helms, it will explain it better. There is too many details to say, and I'll miss some of it and cause confusion.

If you don't feel comfortable being under the valve cover and removing the rocker assy, then take it to a mechanic or dealer.

get the valve cover from the inside and u are going to see where those go. those O rings go to to seal the spark plug holes so there is no oil getting to them.

I got 4 other seals that went over the spark plug holes...on the actual head itself. I thougt these were different. They are both different shaped.

yea, them 4 other seals are more washer-like in shape and they go on top of spark plug tubes....those are easy to install..... the ones in the pic you posted are O-rings and obviously are different and go under the rocker assembly like I stated previously.

Get a manual and check it out.
