    pls help! cruise control~

    hello guys,

    i got some problem i couldn't solve.
my cruise control was working fine before i had 5spd swap.
i got the manual cc computer and manual ecu
but still couldn't make the cc work.

it did rev and speed up for few seconds but
then the rpm went all the way down.
what should i do to make it work?

    any inputs will be appreciated.

The VSS (vehicle speed sensor) needs to work for CC to work... I think VSS throws code 17 when it's bad.

On the five speeds, There is a plastic stopper in a hole on the top part of the clutch pedal. (just like the one on the brake pedal that actuates the brake light). Make sure that stopper is there, if not, plug the hole with something. Cruise control disengages when the clutch or the brake pedal is pushed. If the stopper is not there, the computer thinks you're pushing the clutch.

no code 17 and the speedometer reads correctly.

              seems this is the answer.
but i removed the clutch pedal from one without cc,
does it also have a stopper?

i know that some people have push the clutch when start their cars
but i don't have to with my cb7.
the tranny is from a twdm cb and the model is h2s8.
one of my friends has the same tranny and his cc work fine
after swapping the mt cc computer.

i'll check if there's a stopper and see.

                good news and bad news~
the cruise control does work right now but
it keeps going when i push the clutch.
is there some sensor on the clutch pedal?

yes there should be a cruise control switch on the clutch pedal, along with your clutch safety switch.

the cruise control switch is supposed to disengage the cruise control.

Hit up a junkyard... Looks exactly like the other clutch switch and I think the brake light switch. Grab the switch with a bit of the pigtail and wire it up to your cruise control box (pink wire and ground)
