come on guys still need help!!!! somebody?

how do you get that damn nut off the crankshaft so you can take off the harmonic balancer? I tried jaming the flywheel with a screwdriver and then crank on it with a 4ft cheaterbar with me and my dad standing on it. combined weight of 330 pounds and still nothing. i tried jam the breaker bar in between suspension parts and bumped the stater and still nothing. help me, my can is going nowhere and i don't know what to do!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

no no no...it is NOT reverse thread, so bumping the starter with the breaker bar wedged is just going to tighten it down more. The only two ways that have worked for me is a 3/4" impact (or VERY stong 1/2") or the Honda hex shaped crank holding tool with a long breaker bar. good luck...

the way we removed the crank bolt was by putting a breaker bar on the bolt and turned the starter and came off instantly, tried an impact and breaker bar reverse and forward before that and it wouldnt work, but i guess you can keep trying those thing and when you get fed up with all that try using the starter. by the way this worked on a 91 f22a4 with an auto trans but are you talking about the bolt holding the main crankshaft pulley on and the lower timing cover inside the hexagon area?

yes it is a f22 and yes it is in the hex shaped opening, you guys are confusing me because some say use the starter and others say don't do that so wtf?

You are turning it to the left......aren't you? If all else fails, take it to a shop and see if one of the techs will zip it off real quik then tighten it back down, then when you get home it should come right off. I've done this for people before. The first time it ever comes off is the hardest, once it has been off before, you shouldn't have so much trouble the next time.
