how do I remove dizzy because No spark

okay, to most of you this may sound a newbeie question but I want to get smarter answers so Im posting it her and I also already searched but no real answers. firs off, Im working on a 92 toyota corola but sinc the set up is basic like our accord were just gonna pretend its an accord were dealing with. okay the owner of the car notified me that he's not getting spark, I replaced, cap/rotor, plug wires and plugs, fuel filter. were still not getting spark. the car cranks but no spark. Im thinking about repacing the dizzy but could the ignitor or something else could be causing it. if its a ground issue, how do i check it? and also we have a suspition that it has a swapped motor because it has a 5A motor and when he checked wasnt that motor that the car originally came with, its like finding a F22a6 motor on a 91 accor instead of a f22a1. ONE more important newbeish question. do I need to mark the dizzy before I take it off, if not when or if I need to mark it?

Well if you want me to assume we're talking about an accord.

No you don't have to mark teh dizzy if you plan to do the timing afterwards.

My brothers civic stopped sparking a while back, I replaced the ignitor to fix it.

Also his friends civic did the same thing, and was fixed the same way.

Although sometimes the whole dizzy has to be replaced, which happened to my accord a while back.

on the stairs, she grabs my arm, says whats up,
where you been, is something wrong?
i try to just smile, and say everything’s fine.

Mark it and the internals should be the same. They have a module lookin deal in there if I remember. I forgot Id have to look at my bros corolla again but removing the cap should reveal the internals. You check if the coil is any good and such before jumping to the dizzy.

get a helms. it shows EXACTLY how to test it and what it should read.

and no, you dont check the coil by turning the key to on. You test it with it disconnected from the car.

if you dont mark it, a good guide to use is to align the dizzy so all the bolts holding are in the middle of the holes on the housing. that should be close to 15*btdc.

What Jose said. Just buy a manual for it not much. Plus the owner might need it for future reference.
