Mobil 1 Full Synthetic 5w-30 in winter time, 10w-30 for the Blazin' AZ summer. I change every 3K no matter what, since the filter doesn't last longer than that anyway. I know Synthetic lasts longer but...the filter doesn't. and it only costs me an extra 15 bucks for peace of mind every 3 months...so why not.

There're plenty of filters that'll do 10,000 miles easy. My dad hasn't changed his in two years lol. Even when he dumps in used oil (has bad oil leak, so it gets whatever) it still gets cleaned up, nice clean dipstick all the time. My car nad mom's van get the filter changed every other oil change for about 11,000-15 total miles.
