    OEm fuel filter VS competitor

i am in need of a fuel filter. stealth audio informed me that there is no fuel filter for my car that AEM makes. i am willing to go to OEM honda but i was wondering if there may be something better than OEM honda...screw fram...so any of you guys have a fuel filter thats aftermarket? i can get honda oem for 11 bucks vs 23 dollars at the dealer...so gimme ur opinions

    thanks!
What makes me laugh about forums, is that no matter how much you try to help someone, they dont take the advice. Go ahead and do it the hard way.

You got to respect what you drive, and appreciate what you have, making the best of what you got. and if that means putting CAI, HID's, a phat stereo system, and a idiot in the drivers seat...then so be it!

Ummm.... Guess you guys didn't know but Fram is a contracted OE manufacture for Honda. They make all of Honda's Filters.

im not going to use oem and fram then...ill buy a baldwin filter...they are constructed alot better especially their air filters....i bought an air filter for my car and its alot more flow but just a little and alot better dirt catching...very nice..

i called baldwin and it costs 14.95 for the filter...im going to get it, but i got to travel to west sac which is about 25 minutes away hehe..

baldwin is a company that makes products for big rigs and stuff

              www.baldwinfilters.com

not well known but in the big rig society they are very efficient.

when i put in this filter..ill do a DIY...i saw someone ask how to do it...might as well right =)...

I've seen Honda's run for 200K+ miles on the stock fuel filter. It may be made by Fram but it's made to Honda's specs. Does it really make a difference? I mean the way we all are anal about or 4th gen's we'll probably replace it long before we're supposed to because we'll just need something to do. I mean that's the way I am.

stuuuupid fuel filter..it was a pain in the ass! first i had to move the vacumn control box..i couldnt move it that far casue of the vacumn lines...so i shoved it down..then the bolt around the filter was hard...and the lines for the fitler was super stiff....i think i bent one of them..pissed me off....

i put on the new oen and for some reason it wouldnt fit right...i think cause i bent one of the fuel lines going in....right now its in there but its not bolted down...cause its crooked....and im not sure if it is sealed yet..so imma drive it tomorrow

as for performance..i do feel more torque or something...it pics up great and the rpm just jumps from 1k to red line it just shot..no more delays...

                          cleaned the engine bay again...

http://home.earthlink.net/~michaelpk...uel_Filter.htm thats the DIY i used.

if its not sealing, ill try and tighten it..if it still isnt..going to go and put back OEM...just for now.
