Squishy brakes?

Ok, so i got my license 2 days ago and put like 100 miles on the car already (keep in mind i'm in school for 6 hrs a day).

I noticed that after driving a while (or sometimes every toher light/stop sign) my brakes get VERY squishy and i have to almost stomp on them all the way to the ground to stop. didn't exactly feel safe so for some intersections i just E-braked it.

Can anyone helppppppppppp me and tell me WHY this is happening to little old me ?

EDIE- car is a 92DX, was my grammy's and it has just a tad under 25k miles

Sounds like either you need new brakes or maybe even a Master Cylinder. Look into it. Take it to a shop, and tell them the brakes are squishy and your not sure if it the pads, or the Master Cylinder. :tu;

Side Note: If it has just under 25K, dont be running around putting 100+ miles/day on it. Please. Keep it clean., Keep it young. IMO.

well its only mine until like late september then i'm going to college (Drexel U) so i'll be selling it since i can't drive there the entire stay.

only thing i have in it is a nice system just like every other highschooler who is broke as a joke

Your Brake Master Cylinder Is Probably Bad.

1. Check brake fluid level
2. Bleed your brake system
3. If it doesnt fix it then your MC is probably bad.
