THey coulda gave you a defective starter too. So it doesnt even try to turn over? How are the connections to the starter.

Try putting power directly to the starter.
First put it in neutral/park, then run a small wire from the positive battery post to the starers umm..."start" terminal. lol can't think of the technical name for it. Its the one with the small wire. If it cranks, then its the cranking circuit (fuses, ignition switch, clutch switch, etc).
If it doesn't crank, then try (carefully) running a jump pack or jumper cables directly to the stater, then once again connect a 12volt source to the small terminal on the starter. If it cranks, the starter isn't getting power from the battery. If it doesn't crank, then double check the connections and try again. If still no go, then you got a bum starter.

Is it a click and then you loose all power? That would make me think there's a weak connection, usually at the battery terminals.

alternator is one years old...and battery is relocated but it has done this before i relocated the battery!!..my dizzy is practically one years old or a lil' older.

it has done it with my old starter as well!..i doubt since its brand new ..and it doesnt turn over, just clicks...connections are good!..i'll triple check all connections!

i try that once and it got power to it....i'll try it again!...it just clicks and i got all power!!!!..i even tried slowly laying off the clutch

it does this every now and then...dont matter if the engine is warm or cold...eventually it starts after a few times turning the ignition!

Do you have an alarm? If so check the starter kill relay. Pull out the relay and jump the two thickest wires on the plug (they're usually yellow), If it starts then replace the relay.

yea i do...."starter kill relay", aight i'll check that out!!....i remember i had to replace my ignition because the stupid people wired it wrong and it burned my ignition, so i took it back and they "fixed" it...but the connections on my ignition looks good because the mechanic showed me the old ignition and the part where the kill switch wire burned my ignition at.

Does the car turn over when you turn the key to the on position?

I dont know if this has any relevance, but maybe you need a new ignition switch?

My problem was that the car did turn over and start, but when the key went from the on to acc position the motor shut off.

Maybe thats it? just my $.02

If it just clicks, that means that the starter is not getting the full electrical current. Check battery, and everything all the way to the starter itself. Did you replace the starter with a new one? It you put in a used one, it might be worn like your old original one.
