    connecting rod question

Hey i am building a H23 vtec. and i want to put H-Beam Rods in the block but i can not find them. the only thing i can find is I-Beam. Is I-Beam better then H-Beam or what. I want the rotating Assy as strong a Possible. that way i can rev the motor to the 8K the oringinal H22 is rated to go.

and is there a company that can sell the rods for lest than $650.00
da9b16 is a great seller very quick shipping and great parts

I'm 99% sure theres no h-beam h23 rod out threre. If you don't want to go all out, then try the Probe h23 I-beam rods, they are about $300 a set. Otherwise get a set of Pauter's from Laskey Racing for about $750, they are the nicest rods I've ever seen.

If you're keeping it n/a you're probably fine with the stock rods. I've had them up to 10k personally on several occasions, biggest problem being that the piston wants to keep flying off the rod at those speeds

If you want to rev that high I say look into lighter rods. Eagle USED to make h beams for the h23/f22 but since has been discontinued. For high performance rods that are light and strong you will be hard pressed to find them for 650.

you could go with h22 H beams and then get custom pistons so you have enough clearance.

5.58 are the closest you're gona get to h23 rods(i think those are b18 rods)

nope, thats the h23 rod... the stock rod is 5.572" so they are only .008" longer.

b-series rods have a smaller wrist pin as well as rod journal. check out crower.com, they list all the specs of honda rods on one page so you can compare.
