    Failing Emissions

Hello all. Long time no see.

I have taken my emissions twice and failed both times. Everything on the readout is perfect, except for the NO2 ppm. The allowable limit is 910 in GA. The first time through, I barely failed with a 934. Now a month later, I tried using Tune-Up in a bottle and it went even higher! It is now 1303. I am dumbfounded as to why this would be happening, but then it hit me. I've got a cheap-ass EBay shortram intake, which I think isn't doing it's job and allowing dirty air in. That is the only conclusion I could come to. I was thinking of putting the stock box back on for the emissions just to see what happens.

Anyone know anything about this. I'm ready to pull my hair out. My tags are 4 months past expired. Luckily I only got stopped once and they gave me a warning. I need to get my tags ASAP. Thanks!

Umm If im not mistaken NO2 is nitrous/NOS lol. do you mean NOx?
here are some things you should do to pass.
Put your airbox back on with new/clean air filter.
get an oil change (optional but reccomended).
Tune up (new spark plugs/wires if you havent changed them in ages).
Clean out your EGR ports and valve. Search the forum for "EGR port cleaning."
Drive several miles before the test; get the catalytic converter hot so it can operate the best it can.
dont turn your car off when arriving at the test station.
If all else fails get a new Catalytic converter.
            good luck man.
