trunk open/lock problem

ok, woke up this morning turned the car on and....

my car diagram says my trunks open so i get out to check but its closed, so i open it and close it again, the diagram stills says its open and the trunk light is on (lowered the back seat to check it)

what could it be, i took the truck light out so it wont drain my battery.

the trunk is closed and locked but the mini car....lol, says its open, even when i set my alarm its saying somethings open.

anyone have a clue?

im not sure what causes that to happen but it happens to mine from time to time but it goes off eventually and alot of the time it doesnt show up. it started happening after i took my tailights off to try to stop the trunk rattle so maybe its a sensor i didnt hook up

Was the trunk light staying on? If it was and you just took the light out, the switch/sensor is still saying it's on. You need to check the switch for the trunk light.

well, that problem solved...

while driving i notice that the lighting for the trunk on the car diagram was getting dimmer, next thing u kno i started the car up to go somewhere else and it was off.

dont kno what is was but oh well, guess it'll be a something we'll never kno
