93 vs 94 CONTROL ARM question

Ok, so my ball joints are squeaking like mad nowadays...both uppers are ripped and obviously need replacing.
I found out that the entire control arm gets trashed and replaced with a new one....argh...that's not very wallet-friendly or environmentally responsible.

So, in the interest of saving $$ (who doesnt wanna do that) I checked out pick n pull where all the CB7's have disappeared. BUT, there was a 94 accord LX coupe. I measured the span of the bolt pattern and found it to be pretty close to my 92.

Well, i got em home and I have found that the holes are out of sync with the 94 part by less than half an inch.

I thought if i just elongate the hole closest to the firewall, leaving the leading hole intact, torque those nuts down tight--it should be fine.

    What do you guys think/
    YEP. I AM Canadian.
1990 Accord EX 220,000 KM. Essentially stock with 15" alloys and chin spoiler added. K&N filter and Bosch plugs. ICE COLD A/C which I love!

1992 white EX 4 dr, 5 spd. (602,000 Kms and I JUST RETIRED IT. SO SAD!) DEC 9TH, 2005 - MAY 31, 2012. I added 229,000 kms to it. Great car!

lets wait and do it correctly. Honda has been trying to perfect suspension geometry for 50+ years. There is nothing one man in his driveway can possibly do with a drill.
