    AT problem or engine problem?

I have a stock 90 ex motor with the stock 4 speed auto tranny. For some odd reason when it rains and i run through puddles or after i wash the engine bay of my car, it doesnt seem to go, like it bogs down when it hits 2k and just sits there even when i press the gas, then it engages and i began to haul ass since my gas pedal was down.

Well now that it does that, i dont press the gas pedal down anymore, i just wait till the it engages, then i proceed to go.

It kinda reminds me of putting a MT car in 4 or 5th while going 10 mph, it feels like its gonna stall.

    or
Just imagine driving ur car, and then as ur approach 2k rpm in 2nd gear it just hovers there, ur car is slowly going 1mph faster every 5 seconds, and u can here ur throttle opening, but the engine sounds like its sputtering a bit, then i guess the tranny catches and u keep going... as stated above lol

Anyways, what do u think it is, and is anyone having the same issue?

You have a weak secondary ignition system. When you power wash your car do you leave it running? Do you cover up the timing plug? I suggest you overhaul your secondary ignition system. That means plugs, and wires. Check your cap and rotor for carbon tracks, cracks, corrosion. After that check for a blue spark. if the spark is weak or orange its time for a new dizzy(coil/igniter) my friend.

I changed my plug wires from my 4-6 year old NGK blues to the off the shelf black wires, and i got some Bosch Iridium platinum plugs, and also chaning my air filter from the crappy ones to a K&N so i hope that may help. It seems after i changed the plugs it doenst go up and down anymore, and i havent had that sensation anymore.

Thnx for advice, and i think i have my car running when i did that, i dont remember.

Time to do an oil change ^^

When you wash your engine bay i think its a bad idea to do it with the car on. You're supposed to do it when the engine bay is warm not hot. If you do it while things are hot and you spray cold water on it things can crack.

You'll hear a sizzle and a pop then you'll be super when you see a hole in your header.
