    Engine cutting out?

When I'm accelerating, driving, decelerating, my car will eventually cut out as in it'll jerk kinda like it's gonna cut off on me. I have just replaced the plugs, wires, oil, and filter. this is an f22b1, so I dunno where it came from or anything, cause it was in the car when i got it...It only has about 70k on it. Do you guys have any idea what the problem could be? I'm stumped...I would say i got bad gas, but I've done that before with my jeep, and the jeep would idle really rough and cut off all the way...My car just does the above...HELP!!

Hows your fuel filter? Try changing it (its good maintaince anyway). Man this is tricky, but my guess is that it has something to do with the ignition system. Since you replaced the plugs and wires, hows the distributor and cap?

when i crank the car, it sometimes takes a bit to crank it, like it'll kinda start, die, then crank.....its done it since i got it....lol, also, sometimes when i start it the key sticks in the crank position a bit and will make the high pitch grind noise...just kinda tap it and it goes back to the III or w/e it is on the ignition there...

I think the cranking problem is unrelated, it sounds like your ignition is fucked up. I'd get a new distributor cap and rotor (should be around $26 altogether) and see what happens. Has it been doing the cutting out since you bought it, or is this a recent thing?

definitely just recently began experiencing this...if everything works out tho, this car will get a swap by the end of the year...but i have a jeep grand cherokee that i've had for one year almost exactly, and in that one year, i've put around 30k on it..i commute to and from college....i just need this engine hopefully to only last around 20 more thousand, and i'm good...but in that 20k, the timing belt change and everything will come into play, so if this engine is strong, i may try and rebuild internals and such...i'm not sure yet...

It could be your ignition module.
