hey i am thinking of getting a euro intake manifold......i know there is a need to modify it abit but do i need to modify it to bolt onto the head, or does it just bolt right on and all that i need to work on are the mods for the egr and fuel rail etc

not true, i don't think you have to mess with the firewall, but i could be wrong

there is quite of work involved in getting to run right on your h22, there is a write up somewhere by 2point6 that shows everything to install the manifold, do your research before taking on such a task

I think the Skunk2 manifold required playing with the firewall because of the increased plenum size. As for the Euro R you dont have to mess with the firewall. The modifications needed are posted in the NA thread i think. I remember reading on it a while back.
