I once heard when replacing an auto tranny into a CB7, you have to find the transmission code, and try to locate the exact tranny you have. People told me that you can't just got get any tranny out of a CB7 to put in another, the tranny casings are different. I heard that CB7's have like 7 different tranny casings, and you have to locate the exact one you have for it to work properly. I'm going tranny shopping really, really soon, like yesterday, and need to know is this true? If so where is the code and all the other logistics involved with installing a new tranny. Thanks.

90-91 might be slightly different than 92-93. one is because of the sport mode. But that would be the only difference I can think of the two. Other than that they should be interchangeable.
