    it's missing

my h22 is missing and i can't figure out why..
the only cel code is 12 but i have had that stupid egr code since i did the swap and in low gears it misses, and driving it misses.... but you gun it it runs hard and fast with no miss,, but when you put it in park it starts surging... could this be a bad tps sensor? a sprayed carberator cleaner all around all hoses and intake and no leaks!!??? what could it be

your h22 is missing?? no engine in your car?? j/k. I just had to say that. anyways, with a bad egr valve, is can cause it to run funny. Disconnect your egr connector and then drive it. if it fixes your missing, then replace your egr valve.

      good idea.
but can the thottle position sensor be causing it to surge after it warms up and i put it back in park?

now when you say missing do you mean like spitting and sputtering at normal driving conditions then when you floor it it runs like a beast?

cause if so mine was doing the same thing recently and it was the EGR (I disabled mine on the map I burnt onto my chip) it did fine after that.

I think I am going to do a block off plate on mine since I disabled it.

Keep me posted man I would love to meet up after I get my car back together

it's not a major miss but yeah every now and then it sputters just taking off slow normal driving.. and slighly misses throughout gaining speeds normal driving,, but when you gun it,, it does not miss at all..

found the problem..? cam gears too.

ok i unhooked the egr stuff,,, it helped a lil.. but still a surge so i warm it up and unplug the iacv.. and it stops surging..... but you try to drive with it off it misses its but off!.. so i plugged it back in i think it is bad.. i need one any sellers? also since it is high comp motor.. i decided timing should be advanced we did,, it actually peels out in first now from a stomp,, before it lagged bad..
so what i need to know is whitch adjustable cam gears work best and how much timming would work best for my setup to get as much power as possible without the big bang effect.

I am planning on using skunk2 or AEM cam gears on mine. what rods and pistons did you use in yours?

when you say "but you try to drive with it off it misses its but off!" you mean with the egr unplugged or the iacv valve?? I meant to say drive with the egr valve connector off, not the iacv. you running on 91 pump gas right?? with that compression you better. also, without tuning your car, I wouldn't play too much on your timing. It may lead to detonation if not tuned properly with too much advanced.

yes i drove it with the egr stuff unplugged. it helped a lil not much
and then i let the car warm up to see if it would surge whitch it doesn't till you put it in gear and then put back in park it starts surging, so while it is surging i unhook the iacv and it stops surging. but i tried to see if i could drive it with the iacv unpluged and thats a big no. i am guessing the iacv is messed up because after it warmed up it shouldn't have been on thus creating a surge. will the one off the f22 motor work?
also i run on 93 octane fuel

93 octane, kool. the iacv off of f22?? look at the bolt pattern and how the coolant hoses are off of the valve. not sure, but if everything looks the same, then it may work.

have you checked your spark plugs/wires lately(the miss)? checked for vacuum leaks(the surge)? not sure if the h22 has a FITV but if it does, trust me, they go bad on
A L L hondas and that would automaticlally cause your surging, i just bypassed mine
