Ok I realize this is a total NOOB question but what is the part on the rear of the tranny that the speed sensor bolts to? It sticks into the transmission a couple of inches. Mine is trashed and I need to know what it is called so I can get a new one. Thanks!

Just tell them the part below the speed sensor. They should know really isnt much since that thing is a complete unit. And its cheaper if you pull one out of a junkyard. Those dont go out really often. If it goes out its usually that plastic gear at the tip is worn out.
