Well after all that crap I went through to try and get this done myself, I finally just had the closest Auto Repair Shop tow the POS out of my driveway. They called me back and said that it was my distributer. 450$!! That is with the tow. I failed as trying to diagno myself, but at least I tried. Me and my Dad own a business together and I am going put it on his card. He is going to s@#$ He will chew me out for a minute and then write it off on taxes. I know I am getting ripped off by probally about 200 dollars, but Hell at least I will have a receipt. And I was out of time. They also mentioned some wiring problems that they fixed.

I have not got my car back yet, But will post back with more details on exactly what went wrong.

I want to take this minute to Thank everyone that helped me with my thread. So Thanks again everyone for the input.

Edit: At the very least maybe the soldering of the Main Relay will cure the no starts in hot weather for awhile. Thanks again.

      Question

I just bought a main relay online and just received it in the mail...but before I install it I wanna ask you guys something.

When I took it out of the box, it's sounding like somemthing is broke inside, so I shook it and something is moving around.
Do I just go ahead and install it or is it broken and should send it back?

I'd pop the bottom off, see whats moving around, could just be a loose piece of plastic or something. Its not hard to pop off the bottom and pop back on. Also you can see if it works and that'll tell you, but I didn't have anything in mine rattle.

Nope, it's not plastic...little pieces of solder, like little bubbles.
So I guess it's no good and I should send it back?

I'd send it back if it was solder moving around. Thats why the old ones break, the solder starts to fall out.

Yes, I would say definitely send it back. Its a shame that you have to go through all that trouble.

I would just like to add that even though my distributor ended up being the problem with my car, the re-soldering of my main relay fixed the consistant problem I have been having for the last four years: Car not starting in the hot weather. It has started every single time since I resoldered it. The true test was when I cranked it up at noon with the weather heat index at nearly 106 degrees. Started up with one crank. So I killed two birds with one stone. I am glad to be driving again.

                Thanks again all!

I got mine at oriellys for like 40 bucks brand new. they had like 15 in stock. I still have my old one, which still works, but when it gets warm outside it won't start. It never gave me the problem of dying with driving.

                          Part number

Does anybody have a part number I called up my local Honda dealer and the guys was like yeah I can't find it and he asked for my VIN number? I explained to him where it was in the car and what it did and the guys was like yeah you know more about this then I do so you (I) would have to come down to the dealer ship and point it out on the screen or bring it in. GRRRR

So does anyone know the part number for the Main Relay? THANKS

IS it 95157? Just a guess looking at the Majestic Honda Website.

Just go to your local Honda dealer, the price should be $57 and change. The prices must be the same, otherwise the dealer is marking it up. I bought mine at the dealer and need to install it, sounds hard to do. If you buy at majestic honda, they have a $5 handling fee + shipping. You only save like $5-$8. Buy it from the dealer, if anything goes bad, it can exchanged in person.

Yeah I understand that but I still need the Part number, the guy did not know what the part was or anything! I have to order like 6 other things of which are all cheaper to buy and ship from Majestic Honda so I need the part number still please.

                              Thanks

Majestic's site has their own different part numbers so those won't work. The real part number for the main relay is 39400-SM4-003. It's in the fusebox-relays section of the parts catalogue if the guy needs help finding it.
