Speedometer not working, S button flashing

Hey guys, need some help
Today I went to drive my car to work, and the speedometer wasnt working. Starting driving down the road, and the Sport light starts flashing. Then the check engine light comes on. I go home, turn the car off, restart it, and drive it again. The check engine light doesnt come on this time. Then I told my mom and took here around the block, then everything worked fine. . I get to work fine. Then I go on my break (right now), and it starts doing it again, minuse the check engine light. The speedo starts working again, but the S light still flashes!

What would I need to do to stop it, or what do I need to replace?

Sounds like the vehicle speed sensor you can get them for like 30 bills shipped off ebay, I could be wrong though, but you are showing the symptoms

Thanks man. Thats what I thought it was. Just wanted to make sure that my tranny wasn't going to blow up!
