    HELP!!! car not starting

Its hot, and my car wont start. Im sweaty and pissed off, and aggravated. I think that the main relay is bad, but i dont know for certain. It turns over but it wont start. All the accesories come on like the radio and the windows work and etc etc. However, it just doesnt start, and i cant find the diy on the main relay and i cant even find the main relay itself. Someone please help me, i have to be at work in an hour and im in danger of not making it. Thanks again.

Cover your bases, fuel and spark. Check that your spark is getting there good. You can do this by ganking a sparkplug out, or just putting the sparkplug wire near a groundpoint. Try to start the car, and see if you're getting arcing.

Fuel has two ways of checking. One, your gauge. Two, to see if you're getting fuel pressure, there's a bolt on the right side of your fuel rail. It looks like a stack of skinny nuts. The top one I think is 12mil. Take a wrench and loosen the top bolt real slowly. At some point, it should start to spittle out some bubbles. This tells you you're getting fuel pressure.

If both check out, fuel and spark, then sometimes your engine isn't spinning fast enough. Jump your car. Jump it right by hooking your battery to a donor. Before trying to start, let them sit for a few minutes. Your car cannot start across a pair of jumper cables. Your car wants to start from your car's battery, so you must give it time to charge off the donor battery/car.

I'm gonna guess it's not been too long, but if you're testing the fuel pressure, you want to pressurize the line first. Before you loosen that service nut though, you definitely want the car OFF and you want the negative terminal disconnected from the battery.

Sounds like the same thing that happened to me. Check your electronic ignition switch. Its inside your steering column...i wish i could explain it better. Get a Hanyes manual and look it up.
