strange noise

ok my car makes this noise, it sounds kinda like the subs in my car are hitting very low, but lately its getting lowder...anyway thats what the sound sounds like. it happens between 10 and 20 mph and it goes faster the faster i go. its been getting louder and louder lately.it only does it when im going slow, like in my parking lot or cruising through the neighborhood, not building speed etc... anyone know what it is?? the tires on the back are fairly new, about 8 months old, and its coming from the back area. Anyone got some ideas

your prolly gonna have to be a little more specific. It do it when your turning, breaking, accelerating, coming from your trunk, suspension....

it does it no matter what im doing, turning, if im turning slow like in my parking lot, or if im going straight just letting it roll, on the brakes or not, doesnt matter, still makes the sound. as far as where its coming from, im not sure, it sounds like its coming from the trunk area, or under the trunk area, as far as a specific i cant tell you, it doesnt do it until you hit about 12 mph and stops at about 23 or so, so you cant exactly just sit there and listen for where its coming from ya know what i mean?its kinda hard to explain but it sounds like my subs are hitting low, but its pretty loud now..... i dont know what else i could say about it

oh i dont know if i mentioned it, its coming from the rear of the car, under the trunk area, its not in the front, at least it doesnt sound like it. it sounds like its coming from behind the back seat, the sound is definately a bassy kinda sound, i thought it was the subs and something was rubbing against the RCA wires or something, but i have a killswitch for the amp remote on my car cuz my amp overheats and i flipped the switch, and it kept on going, even with no power to the subs, but it sounds just like them. could it be a knot in the tire doing it??? but the tires are only 8 months old, could they already have a knot or something else entirely??

It sounds like your wheel bearings are going bad. if you can find out which side it is comming from you can solve the probelms by replacing the bearings. They cost about $70 dollars each, I think. If you jack the car up and wiggle and turn the wheel with the lugs torqued down with 35 ft-lb then the wheel will wiggle slightly and might make a little noise if the bearings are bad. If the bearings are bad then the tire might eventually have a diagonal tread wear, so try to find out asap.

No chance of it being the axel? I've heard this before around 55-60 mph, and someone said it was the axel. How would one know if it is, or is not the axel? Sorry if I went OT, I thought this might help somehow.
